Jessica Fry McAlister
Jessica Fry McAlister is originally from New Orleans, where she trained with the Giaccobe Academy of Dance and the New Orleans Youth Ballet. After graduating, she was invited to join the Joffrey II Concert Dancers in New York, performing with them throughout the country. Since then she has gone on to have an extensive professional career working with such companies as Ballet Austin, Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Burklyn Ballet Theatre, and with Greensboro Ballet, where she danced some of her favorite roles. Jessica is so thankful to have worked with so many amazing directors, choreographers, and artists throughout her career, and she is passionate about passing all that she learned to younger dancers.
He’s a UNCG trained dancer, choreographer, instructor, and artistic director of a Neo-Contemporary dance company. But at heart, Dom-Sebastian Alexis is a B-Boy. A Contemporary StreetDancer ready at any moment to dance/battle alongside his buddies. Dom-Sebastian, a Greensboro native, is the artistic director of TheBBoyBallet, co-founder of the Gate City Breakers, and one of the creative forces behind movement projects seen around the Gate City. “In French, ballet translates to dance. It encompasses every aesthetic of creativity,” Dom-Sebastian says, explaining how he came up with the name of the company. “B-Boying is the passion of dance. It’s what you feel at that moment for that particular piece. That’s why it’s TheBBoyBallet. It’s a concept to promote the body and spirit of dance.” He also teaches hip-hop classes locally and recently performed with the Greensboro Ballet in our production of The Nutcracker.
